Our Discipleship Ministry is formed by the sense of being called to follow Jesus; to learn his ways. We study the Bible because we believe it is the Word of God. Martin Luther said, “The Bible is the manger that holds the Christ.” Lori Burnett is the leader of this commission.
Sunday School Begins at 10:10 a.m.
Youth and Adults gather in the Fellowship Hall as we continue our Back to the Basics survey of the bible. We are picking it up in the book of 2 Samuel. We’ll begin with a group presentation then break into discussion groups, as needed.
Children will gather with Ms. Anne and Ms. Lori in classrooms 2 and 4 for a great time of building friendships in faith and learning at an age-appropriate level about the same Bible stories we read in worship. Past virtual classes can be viewed on the Sunday School YouTube channel.
Wednesday Bible Study takes place via Zoom at 10:00 am. Please contact the office for the current link. This group is led by Pr. Stephen and reflects on the upcoming lectionary texts that will be read next Sunday.
The People of Peace Challenge is an invitation to grow as people who intentionally abide (rest, marinating, residing) in Christ’s Peace and then seek to extend Christ’s Peace to others. The intention is that we not simply be people who go to Peace Lutheran Church, but that we be People of Christ’s Peace.
Start with the following booklet, then extend Christ’s peace to the person for whom you prayed. We’ll also gather via Zoom for group prayer and support on several Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm. We’ll meet on: August 18, September 1, 15, 29, and October 13. Contact the office for the current link.
