Easter Season
Easter is an entire seven week celebration of our Lord’s resurrection! Sundays will be filled with joyous shouts of “Alleluia!” We also have several additional celebrations happening throughout the Easter Season:

Resurrection of Our Lord: Easter Sunday – April 9  (9:00 a.m.)

Christ is risen! He is risen indeed. Alleluia! At the tomb Mary Magdalene and the other Mary hear the voice of Jesus, hold onto his feet, and worship their living Lord. Through the sacrament of Holy Baptism, God has joined us to Christ’s death and resurrection. On this day our congregation will renew our baptismal identity, reveling in the life that Jesus our gives.

Second Sunday of Easter – April 16  (9:00 a.m.)

The risen Christ appears to the disciples and offers them the gift of peace.

Third Sunday of Easter – April 23  (9:00 a.m.)
Jesus meets two disciples on the road to Emmaus.

Fourth Sunday of Easter – April 30  (9:00 a.m.)
Jesus is the good shepherd.

Guatemala Sunday – May 7  (9:00 a.m.)
Sunday, May 7th, we’ll join with congregations across the Southeastern Synod to pray for and give thanks for the growing partnership we have with the Lutheran Church in Guatemala. We are excited for this opportunity to continue to grow our relationship with our Guatemalan siblings in Christ.

Sixth Sunday of Easter – May 14  (9:00 a.m.)
Jesus does not abandon his followers, by his Holy Spirit he comes to abide with his disciples of every generation.

Ascension of Our Lord – May 21  (9:00 a.m.)
40 days after Jesus rose from the dead he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.

Day of Pentecost – May 28  (9:00 a.m.)
On this Sunday we remember the gift of the Holy Spirit given to the first disciples, and we recall that the Holy Spirit is still poured out in the sacrament of Holy Baptism.
