I don’t know if you think about the Bible in the same way that I do, but I find the Bible to be a very confusing book. In general, yes it is about the love of God for us, the gift of grace in the salvation offered in Jesus, but in specifics, it can be a confusing book to read and understand. This is especially true when we start to focus on particular stories, even more so when Jesus comes along teaching in parables.
