Are we keeping the sabbath?” Does our life, our faith witness to the power of God at work in us. Not by some ridge sense of black and white behavior that keeps us from showing mercy, but in living out the grace of God for others. Casting ourselves into God’s love, let’s look at our life with honesty, and where we are legalistic, let’s find a way to put the law aside. Compassion and justice must be the prevailing spirit of our faith. Then we can say with boldness that we are keeping the sabbath. And by our love for others, the stranger, the foreigner, the poor, the refugee they will know we Christians.
