Reformation Sunday

Today, this Sunday, is the 499th celebration of the Reformation. We are celebrating the day when a young monk nailed a piece of paper to the doors of the church in Wittenberg inviting the academic community to a debate on some theological points of church practice. The church was on the verge of a change it could not imagine. It seems that as we move towards the future, maybe another 499 years, what can be said about the church in the present moment is that it is changing. For the good or the bad is hard to say right now, but it is clear it is changing.
