You know every time I read this story from Genesis, in fact every time a read just about any of the stories about Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their family I really long for the blessings of families like the Anderson’s; you know Jim, Margaret, Bud, Kathy and Betty Anderson. Or maybe that other family; Ward, June, Wally and Theodore Cleaver. Good wholesome families that know the right way to live with each other. Of course we know that most families aren’t like the families from Father Knows Best or from Leave it to Beaver. Those families are fictional in more ways than one and are from an era that very likely never existed.
